There is an air of neutrality that will allow his coordinators to handle their duties to the best of their ability, while he heads the overall program.
With Bustle as a former OC his fingerprint was obvious; his coordinators always seemed to be cookie cutter images of each other.
On a side note many forget that Baldwin was once an Associate Head Coach and then demoted to Defensive Coordinator then demoted to Line Coach, then demoted to position coach under Denardo.
At least DeForest seems to have a lock on the Associate Head Coach position. This tells me he is highly organized. _
FAMILY, strong recruiter in Texas, and he loves UL, He is my choice.

ps incentives is the way to go

And what difference is that? That he is highly organized from which we have no proof since he is an associate head coach? LOL.
BTW, incentives are nice but will likely not go far when trying to sway a productive and proven winner at the head level. They will want a level of commitment from the administration that is not necessarily all tied into performance factors that he may or may not have direct control over such as crippling injury epidemics. It's certainly an intriguing way to give the coach that much more to gain from having success but simply offering a low bas salary as you've suggested in the past and limiting the coaches guarantees up front will not carry much weight with most established head coaches.

The difference between demotions and retentions.

One might not like to hear it it, but I'm going on the premise that a winning head coach at the FCS level is not quite yet an "established head coach."
Thus he has a lot to gain with my model, x2.

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State’s coaching staff may not be fully intact for the Alamo Bowl.
Special teams coach Joe DeForest could be a leading candidate to become the next head coach at Louisiana. Cowboys coach Mike Gundy said he’s likely to allow DeForest to begin his new job immediately if the longtime assistant is hired at UL within the next two weeks.
