Re: Places to eat in Lafayette.
For anyone who really enjoyed Don's seafood & steakhouse downtown and noticed a downturn in the food the past few years, my uncle Joey is back in the game over there to bring Don's back to when he was there running the kitchen. Check it out I know I will.

But, I had to add that I DESPISE Alesi's. That's not a personal insult to anyone on here or anyone that may own the place. Its only my opinion on the place. :/

From the last 40 ... Lagneaux's

And if I'm not mistaken they still have the $4 UL student discount.

See but you have childhood memories of it. All I know is more recent because I never went often when I was younger. To me its a little overpriced and the pizza is ok. I think they charge you per refill and you have a pretty small cup to drink from.
If you like it, I'm not telling you to stop going, but this is a public forum and hopefully we can discuss restaurants without stooping to neg repping posters for disliking something :D

Blasphemy!! I live in Houston and my kids only bring up wishing there was an Alesi's here about 3X a month.

LOL, that was my first as well. I got another from running some yoyo that was a fan of another team I think.
Anyway, when it comes to pizza, there are plenty of really good choices in the area. Deanos, Pizza Village and its clone JJ's (apparently if you're from Breaux Bridge, its a requirement to love the Village), BJ's, La Pizzeria. Stiff competition for ole Alesi
