Problem with that could be, if admission is free doesn't that make every student-athlete become classified as a recruiting visit? And thus they and our team might go over the limit?

It was probably going to be during a commercial break lead-in, but since the other thread asked for less commercials it is on the cutting room floor

Also that would mean only the casual fans get to see it, and those actually in the stadium are out of the loop?

The optics of doing that on national tv with a mostly empty stadium in the backdrop.... Oof

Oh well. I'll be inside the stadium and wouldn't have seen the announcement anyway. Hopefully some updated renderings get released soon

Same. Which is crazy. If you had told me 10-15 years ago we’d have a nationally televised conference home game against Southern Miss, less than 10K were expected, and I would barely want to go…man. I’d have thought you were nuts.

Of course. But show the renderings on the video board. You can even have images of the new Cajun Field at some of the entrances around the stadium.

After a few years removed from 2 years in the top 25 and two SBC championships. Wow. Crazy times.

It’s just crazy. We have been wanting USM to come to Cajun Field and here it is. Maybe we will be surprised and people will show up??
