Re: Billy Napier on Paul Finebaum show
That guy spent more time on where he was than where he went and had equally or even more praise for where he was than where he went. If you don’t now think he had the best for Louisiana at heart and in mind and truly cared when he championed CMD to be our next head coach, I really don’t know what to say . . .

Now explain the equation that turned Billy Napier's positive Louisiana experience interview into a negative post?

Some people’s kids needed to know. If you don’t quit, I will bring back out the cheese . . .

I'm really worried about Billy. His philosophy is so much like Robe's... Robe would never sacrifice a kid for a 'W'. In the 2016 regionals, we faced Az (ironically, State hosted CCU, the two would reach the NC). We had the better team, and beat them easily the 1st game. We played them again, Az pitched their ace after only 1 day rest, against our #2. Our #2 against their #2, we advance, but Robe would never re-pitch a kid that fast. We sat home.
So I am worried that putting the kids first won't buy much patience or support in the SEC. And I haven't mentioned this here before, but when the Cajuns played at UF in 1993, I went. There are two schools that left me with a really bad feeling: one was Nevada, the other UF. As the guy I drove out there with noted, "It's the only place I've ever been where they're whipping your @ss on the field, and the fans are still trying to pick fights with you in the stadium."
There were some other things that made me think it was a school I would rather not go back to. That was 30 years ago, but campus culture doesn't tend to change very fast.
So I'm worried that Billy may be in place where he can win, but not win enough. I hope I'm wrong, I hope UF has changed or that I mis-judged it, for his sake, and for his family's sake.

The beauty is that 3 or 4 years at that salary level sets one as conservative as him for life. All is not lost in that respect

I suppose. But remember, the guy just wanted to coach HS ball, all this came to him.
So what good is all that money, if he really just wants to coach?
"If you make a million dollars a year doing a job you hate...
"You're underpaid."

Uh he Gets $50 million and then goes coach anywhere he wants? High school included and his family is still set for life
Re: Billy Napier on Paul Finebaum show
Billy is fine, I’m happy for him. Hopefully it all works out.
It’s time to focus on helping CMD, not Billy.

I haven’t seen in him where he has not liked anything as of now and as long as he is allowed to do it his way, even if the money is collateral benefit now, there will come a time in his life where it will no longer be collateral. How nice to be Billy . . .

You could have saved yourself that long trip by just driving 50 miles East for the same game day experience.
