I believe at UL, men's golf is an official sport. It's listed on the Ragin Cajuns athletic website.

Water skiing is not in that category.

Water skiing is a club sport. Not school sponsored. Same as lax, hockey, rugby, boxing, bowling, men's soccer, etc..

Met the golf coach at Softballs golf tourney Monday. Very nice guy. Great to see golf get some love with a new facility.

If you are trying to argue the merits of golf as an athletic sport, isn't John Daly like the worst example? Tiger Woods perhaps would be better?
