Is there a graceful way of having him resign and thank UL for giving him the opportunity to coach as an assistant and a head coach at the D1 level and have him ask his players to give the next coach everything they have as a person, a student and an athlete to make them and this university achieve success in the next basketball season? (IMO you are always better off leaving in a cloud of class). Yes to a resignation.

There is, but I think it involves about $200,000.00 though.
