Any Baseball Stadium news out there?

I know, but think of it this way, no maintenance, always green, will drain and no rainouts due to wet field, no maintenance cost and lots of money saved, Players like it. SO, if the jones are doing it, let's keep up with the jones.

Who else in the conference has turf? Who else in the NCAA has turf?

I saw Troy's baseball stadium. They have turf and it looked stupid. Sorry but that is not baseball. Just look at what they are doing in the majors. Not only does a retractable roof eliminate rainouts, but it allows you to easily grow natural grass.

If the put turf the color of the football field, that's fine.. If they put turf the color of Tulane's baseball field, I will puke..

If baseball extends seating to the OF then I will be moving my season tickets to that area.....

I get your point but I'm pretty sure we don't have it in the budget to install a retractable roof.

I hope they make the grandstand fan friendly. It desperately needs more room between each row and seat along with additional aisles. Outfield seats would be pretty sweet.:D

then you would have to cut down the pine trees, which makes a pretty cool backdrop to the baseball field. and why put so many seats when we wouldnt fill them anyway, an empty stadium spread out looks bad

I believe he said outfield seats for softball, not baseball
