Is there any chance UL could play Baylor? I would love to see us hook up with them if CUSA (which is very possible) can't fullfill all of their bowl commitmets.

Whats with New Orleans bowl games this season and projecting conference rematches in bowl games! I joke (obviously), I'd love to see us face Syracuse or Purdue, getting a big dog on a "neutral" site would be awesome. Not to mention, if we would play either, we would probably have the highest ratings the NO bowl has ever had with the AQ team in the game, and the highest attendance by far with an AQ team plus us there. That would be AMAZING!

Regardless, as long as it says we accepted the bowl bid, that is all I need to know. I don't give a damn about the opponent. I just did not want to get too excited until it was official. We've been screwed before.

Oh, believe me, I get ya. I'm pretty sure fat Wrong Waters was fighting tooth an nail to put ANYONE besides us in that bowl game, but sometimes when you take care of business on the field like we did, it takes all outside possibilities out of the equation.

Mark Hudspeth might not be long for Cajun Field, but he's turned the otherwise lowly program into at very least a one-year wonder during his time on campus. A nine-win campaign would be their best since 1972, when they played in the Southland.

Willie Mae's <--- rated the 2nd best fried chicken in the US by Food Network.

I will make it there one day but it will not be be for the NO Bowl. I bet the chicken taste better on the way down than on the way up. If I eat that heavy before heading to Bourbon, I know what will happen.

This is nothing more official than what has been stated here for several weeks

So you mean cajun Fans shop at Louisiana Hot Stuff? Last time I went into that store I got lost in purple and urine clothes while looking for some Vermillion Red. Haven't bothered to go back. I bet this season they expanded their usual one rack of UL gear to an astounding 3!

Not true Rebel, the university officially accepted the Bowl invite that was issued Saturday, that is what makes it official. While everyone here believed it to be true, now it is. That is what makes it more important.
