My personal observation. I was at USL in the mid-late 70’s. Probably half of my friends/acquaintances who went to USL are LSU fans first and foremost, some never mention UL. I suspect it’s worse now. Sadly our leadership over the past 30-40 years has done NOTHING to fix this!
Yea I’m talking about graduates. The majority of those students, whether you admit it or not are Tiger first fans. They come here for school only and go to LSU on Saturdays. That’s the cold hard truth.Quote:

Regardless, we agree that our university needs to do a better job influencing and cultivating its own graduates. You've got 4 years to indoctrinate, and it should be easy to get a large percentage of graduates to get in the boat. Heck, when I started at UL, I was not a college sports fan at all. I left a diehard, so it worked on me.
Of only there was a way for grads to retain ownership of their university experience email...
It would go a long way in their staying connected.
Every Saturday home game for 4 years we had pre game at our fraternity house with roughly 60 guys. That changed every year due to graduation. Always some going out and some coming in. I would say about 80% of those guys when I talk to them today they call LSU us and UL y’all since they know I am a big cajuns.Quote:
