On a positive note, the highlight of the game for me was that this one got to attend her first ever game at Cajun Field. To say she was pumped was an understatement. She got to meet the cheerleaders, dance to the band, and even got to high five Coach Des. She's been talking about it non-stop (and I do mean non-stop) ever since then.
That's what its all about.

I would just like to see them utilize the ground game with Washington early to open up the passing game. (You don't do this by running the guy once for 60 yards and then removing him from the playing field for the next 8 plays and then only giving him the ball 8 times all game). I am not a fan of the RB by committee especially when the RB breaks one for a large gain. This is a tempo and confidence killer. The Cajuns didn't have much luck running up the middle but had tremendous luck around the edges on GT type plays. Washington had a 60 yard run and a 12 yard run around the edge but those were the only 2 plays to him like that. The guy is fast and built like Earl Campbell! He should get 15+ touches per game. Ben did ok for the first game. His "touch" was a little off but he ran the ball well and threw some nice deep passes. If the OL play improves Ben will be fine.

Mike mentioned in his prep week interview and his post game that they weren’t sure how NWST was going to attack us up front with all the turn over on the roster. He said last years film was pretty irrelevant. He also said we pretty much blocked them straight up.Quote:
