Baseball, not softball. I edited my post, some of those boys quit on their team today. Embarassed their program.
Re: G3 Regional Final: Louisiana 19, Maine 10
A couple pages of BS because I complimented Veillon for being a good teammate in a tough situation for him.
And about a player standing in the first base coaching box (for ONE inning), which is about as irrelevant a thing as there is in a baseball game. A baseball game that was won in blowout fashion. In a regional. And the one inning it happened is what caused said game to be a blowout.
Like I said during the game 1 game thread…there are some really interesting people that post on this site.

“really interesting people” is a really interesting way to put it . . .

Lafayette is a big small town. In time everyone knows, if they want to know.
Only thing I want to know is, regardless of sport, our athletic representatives, be it staff or players, give 100% and keep the interpersonal team dramas off the field and/or court. And do not embarrass the university and its fanbase.
Don't let everyone "know" like Oklahoma State did today. Some of those boys quit.

Probably best to keep private "conversations" private.
In other words it is the conversation that is supposed to stay private not the two persons involved.

Here it is. Not complicated

Because Baseball and Softball are two different sports.

Men are not Women. I know it’s hard these days but when you look, they are still different . . .

….Can’t see a reason to have players coach the bases……BUT we were certainly one of the best HSs in the country at Jesuit in the 60s state/national/ regional champs more than once….dreaded days were 2-3 hours of base running instructions with coaching the bases….angle of stance, how far from the line, how to cup your hands for sound, progressive defensive movement….it was crazy, but we all listened!…. Oh and won a LOT!

Softball, there is not heavy wear and tear on a pitching staff, so run rule doesn’t matter.
With men, you want each team to get 27 outs to keep the wear on each team near even; extra innings, so be it.
