The long list of names from the 2017 and especially the 2018 roster, now mostly missing and having contributed little in their brief stay, is concerning. Seems like we missed on a bunch of recruits. I counted four or five freshman catchers, alone that have disappeared. Doesn't that seem like a problem?

Coastal's national title questions why you're including SWAC in the question?

One is a top conference that gets more than half their conference in postseason. One is more times than not a multi-bid league. The SWAC is the first one bid league that came to mind. Does Southland make you feel better? My question is still the same.

Re: Cajuns' JUCO signees having solid seasons
I would think the front line guys were signed back in November? I would think this period would be late signees for 2020 and early signees 2021 ? Are am I wrong?
Re: Cajuns' JUCO signees having solid seasons
We may sign as many as three more JUCO arms. Not all good players sign in November.

I believe the late period is for class of 2019. Early sign in the fall is for class of 2020.

I agree we've missed. Which is why we now have basically a full time recruiter.
The HS catcher we signed is getting a lot of play from scouts. And, the JUCO catcher's numbers are listed at the beginning of the thread.
What I like about the signees is they all come from respected D-1 JUCO programs. Doesn't mean they are "can't miss" guys, but I like the chances of them contributing right away.

Sounds really good. We are due for some breaks. We just are. I feel a lot better about the offense going forward. I would not be surprised if this year mimics 2012, then boom!

Are these players on average the same quality of players we brought in the last four years? Would they perchance be better than what we have recently recruited?
