I just went to Ticket Master. If it is to be believed there are 308 tickets left. I hovered over each section and the number of tickets available is shown and I added them all up.

How dare you say that with the information MAT has already given

A couple of things.
A: general admission tickets will not sell out a section.
B: this is not a bowl game, if App brings 4,000 I will be shocked.

I just went to Ticketmaster as well and hovering over section V1 in the south end zone there are over 300 available. They are showing tickets available all over the stadium other than reserved seating. Only a handful of chairbacks in the lower deck available.

Why would App being more people to a bowl game than a conference championship game with much more time to plan?

The V1 showed only 11 tickets just now so who knows but still seems like a lot of tickets sold which is good.
