After last week I thought my prediction was too optimistic. After yesterday C4L probably thinks his prediction is too pessimistic. Goes to show none of us know anything when it come to predicting these games. Welcome to G5 football, where the talent level and coaching prowess advantages are razor thin week to week.
I don't put any credence in predictions. I used to habitually predict 77-0 UL. I chose to load the sunshine pump up with unicorns and rainbows during game week. It's just how I roll. My predictions are usually 6 wins +/- 4.
But I completely understand what other fans post and why. I also understand what coaches and their surrogates say. I only hold people paid in the business to they say and do.
Do you think head coaches "predictions" are any better than fan predictions? I don't. Not only are their predictions usually meaningless, their understanding of failing to meet their lofty predictions are meaningless. They can chastise fans all they want. I understand human emotion. But when you (or others) quote them and their surrogates chastising fans... I will gladly take them down memory lane and make fools of them.

That was the 'Pelican' announcer who was UL Lafayette, Lafayette, ULL'ing us. I don't recall Watson ever doing that in the broadcast.
IMO it was the sign of a lazy announcer by ole whatever his name is. I'm too lazy to look it up Boomer. I'll leave it to you.
Just for you Boomer

He's a Missouri grad, maybe Dr. Maggard could explain things to his 'Show Me' brother.

Don't think the LA moniker is going to catch on. We got Louisiana, but ESPN seems to want a 3 letter moniker and uses ULL. Maybe we just say the hell with it and use ULA, like Georgia (UGA) and Virginia (UVA). Nobody out of state will oppose it. In state, nobody uses Louisiana anyway. Just do it.

Playing a QB who makes quicker decisions also helps. He gets the start this week. Wonder how he will do in that role. There may be more pressure in that situation than coming off the bench. Having a better inside receiver like Malone available also helped. He was critical in both the first half TD's. One thing Hudspeth said may be correct. It looks like the team did not quit and continued to work.

On a side note, rereading some of the post on this tread is comical in light of what transpired yesterday.
One clarification in your post Metry, it was Kevin Foote who used the Jim Mora point of "we think we know, but we really don't". I don't think Buckley knows Jim Mora used to coach the Saints.

The difference was putting players in their positions, like Joe Dillon and Trev Miller. Cajuns exposed a very overrated Idaho offensive line.
Didn't Willis help with the game plan preparations during the week however?
