So he could do it at LSU but not at UL?

He is letting his disdain for purple and gold diminish the expectations of a good man. Truly troubling.

Exactly.
If Faulk is coming on board, I’m fully behind that decision.

Correct. If he hit the road for LSU he could hit the road for UL. The job is his if he wants it. He is currently on the fence. Stay tuned my friend.

We agree often now, but remember he has not responded to anything I have posted in three months . . .

Maybe I’m missing something, but from what I’m reading Faulk is 45 and Juluke is 50.

I was told Viator will remain on as a paid Analyst...he doesn't not want to recruit any longer. Has his state retirement requirements already in the bag.

And never forget this. Viator isn’t the only one working towards being comfortable. Being vested put Viator in the “no, I don’t want to grind” position.

So when Napier hired Viator he was uncomfortable, and now he is being kept in his same position under Desormeaux he is working to be comfortable. I don’t understand.

Every coach that has coached in Louisiana continuously is in the retirement system. That’s a big motivator. And that’s in play with both BB coaches, and other FB coaches that may have become vested in the system. That’s why so many h/s coaches years ago wanted to jump directly to college in state. Big boost in average pay. Once vested, you can be like Viator.

Understand that. And maybe I am reading more into your post than you intended but I got the impression that you think Viator will simply be going through the motions rather than really being enthusiastic about his job.

Of course it is. And if he is burned out on recruiting but still likes to be around the technical aspects of the game, analyst seems like the perfect spot with his experience.
