See my comments Dave earlier in this thread that the Cajuns were looking at SS in the portal. There were multiple athletes they looked at, including Sam Ardoin. But all I see is him tweeting the Ragin Cajun Baseball video. I'm not sure that is considered a solid commitment. :)

The video says committed at the end of it and it is still up on his twitter page.

Great news.
Do you think we take a flyer on that LSU pitcher mentioned earlier in the thread and see if Gunner can get him clicking?

No doubt. Kid was a big time national recruit that’s thrown just 9 college innings. He will have a ton of options in the SEC and ACC

Don't know, a personal connection helps, and I don't think Deggs has any connection to him. Deggs recruited Ardoin while he played at Sulphur HS and knows his father, Danny Ardoin. It looks like several of the young LSU pitchers will be recruited heavily.

Why does baseball have only 11.5 scholarships on 25 man roster? Is it the same for softball? Why the limitation? I would think the P4 conferences would easily fund 25 scholarships and force that change. What would UL and a lot of G5 schools do if it faced that change?

Title 9. Because there are 85 for football and girls do not play football, equality has to be achieved somewhere else.

Softball is 12.
They could easily give out 25 with no cost to the school, although online courses from other institutions have changed the equation somewhat.
Dumb limitation since it started, worse than no NIL in my opinion.
