Re: New Mexico State dropped from 2023 Football Schedule
Clock is ticking as loud as a biological clock for a 40 year old deciding if they want to finally procreate.

Your disappointment is directed mostly at the wrong person.

NMSU was the opponent for out 9th largest home crowd.

...and UNT was 6th, FIU was 12th, Nichols comes in at 13th and 17th. Should we schedule all of them every year?
What these games have in common is that they all took place in the first 3 years of Hud. Along with the late 70's and mid 90's, these years were a Golden era of Cajun football. Very successful teams, very good local economy, very good fortune.

Re: New Mexico State dropped from 2023 Football Schedule
There are things said in this thread that are not true. First of all, it was Scott Farmer who signed a 4 game home and home with New Mexico State. This first game of that contract was played at UL in 2018. We were scheduled to play at NMST in 2020, but was canceled due to Covid. They were coming here this year but had to drop us to fit their CUSA schedule. We still owe them a home game, which is on the schedule for next year. This did put us in a bind? Hell yes. Doc is doing everything he can, but the options are not good. Do not blame this on him this late in the game.

They were voted out in 2016 two-years before they had to depart.
I think Farmer did a 1-1
