BOP, you are correct (as usual). Click the link, then click on asst coaches and then click on the school and it will tell you how much each coach made last year. It's not current but still a good measure.

Tom Cruise? Are you kidding me? We're trying to find a new football coach here. This isn't a game...this is serious business.
If you can't make a legitimate suggestion, then move to Baton Rouge.

if you would have been following this thread you would have known i've made several suggestions. i was just trying to make a joke, which you obviously can't handle. if you want i can gladly take my tuition, fan support, etc. and follow someone else a little less critical of me when i'm just trying to be funny.
for rhineaux's sake i'll repeat myself as to whom i think should be our next hire.
Terry Bowden. has had success in Div II, Div I-AA, and has coached at the FBS level with some great success. currently is at North Alabama after a hiatus from coaching to be an ESPN analyst.
I listed several others i think would make potentially good hires but i think Terry Bowden would be our best option.

I spoke with a really good source Tuesday night and he told me that Terry Bowden has been to Lafayette and loves it here. I wouldn't rule him out.

Any news about a new coach coming to town is good news to me. It's just time to replace Bustle

I think it is important that we have a coach who has been part of a BCS program and knows what it takes to be at that level. It is OK for a school like Ohio State to pick a 1AA coach, Jim Trussel, as head coach because they already have in place the tradition, funding and facilities and compete at the highest level, so he steps into that situation. When you are trying to move up like UL is, you don't want a coach whose highest level is 1AA and has no insight into what it will take to move up. You might argue that he can better work without our budgetary framework, but that does not help us. Our budgetary framework is the main reason we are where we are, so perpetuating it will do us no good. I want someone who has a vision for where UL football can and should be and knows what it will take to get us there. The same can be said for our AD.
