What about the Cajun players on the team the previous 3 x years? Who has progressed at the plate (or in the field or in the circle) like players progressed under the previous staff?
Even though they were not Glasco’s recruits I hope that we can agree these players had talent. I am no expert but have not seen them develop at anywhere near the same rate we have seen players do so in the past. And most of these players under the previous staff were “diamonds in the rough,” not top recruited players.

How many HR did Elkins have in her freshman year before she transferred to Louisiana? I honestly don’t remember but you may as I understand that you keep up with NCAA softball very closely. I do remember it was not a great Freshman season before she transferred (from Texas Tech I believe) and became one of the nation’s leading HR hitters.

Right. They were diamonds in the rough. That's why it took some of them two years or more, to develop.

I just saw that the post from roarman that I replied to has already been completely discredited by Mr. Hemphill before I had a chance to reply.
Re: SB G1: Louisiana 2, Texas 10
Right. So why haven’t we seen same progression in the last 3 x years?
I keep hearing they were not Glasco’s players. Can’t have it both ways.

To be honest not many players have actually been in Glasco system for 3 years.

What exactly is Glasco’s system?

Coach against the percentages, over coach, run your team out of innings.

What Mark wrote is exactly right. Elkin had exactly zero home runs at Texas Tech. Her sophomore year at UL she hit 20 something. She is the exception. Most of the players the previous coach had, took a year or two to learn his hitting technique. And, that was part of the fun of watching them play. Seeing them go from diamonds in the rough to superstars.
The only players that Glasco has had on this team, for more than two years, are Kandra Lamb, who does not bat, Raina, who is now injured for the second year in a row, and Taylor Roman, who was injured last year and has not returned to her pre-injury form. Oh, there's also Mayeau. She's doing well, but has not projected to that superstar level.

Coach against the percentages? Could you give the board a few examples?
