Yep. But the best action was after the teams actually separated. The BC coach was exchanging words with the Miami staff with cops bw them!

Sorry for dumb question, really just want to be educated.....
Why is a bat flip after a home run, worse than a pitcher fist pump after a strikeout? And maybe even dumber, why is anyone watching batter and not watching the ball?
Thanks duggie, i was trying to ask more generically, rather than this specific case.
But louisville seemed pretty arrogant as well, then it bit them
I still kind of like miami, one of my first memories of baseball is that hidden ball trick they pulled!!

Announcer even mentioned people in dugout,.........lol
Wow, 1982, no (at the time) sec teams in cws!
The bat flip wasn't the issue. It was the jackassness skipping into home and taunting the catcher. And then continuing the skipping and acting like a jackass all the way to the dugout.
Really sucks that they don't play another game. The guy deserves a heater in the ribs...or two.
It looked fuzzy, and i must be missing something, but catcher seemed to adress the batter-runner first?
Either way. You don't act like that. I'm sure the catcher said something about his earlier antics and that spurred the stuff near home plate.
I would think that if one of our guys did that, Robe would have them by the throat. And deservedly so.
Again, it's a shame he didn't come to the plate again.
