They are still there; and still willing. Only the University Administration is so risk averse that they will not commit [or have not yet committed] to any such venture.

It takes two to Tango.
When the man in Martin Hall is ready to sign the documents, all he has to do is make a phone call.
We've been waiting for that phone to ring for a while now........
Re: CUSA Officials at the Bowl game
So back to my original question... What does winning the NOLA Bowl back to back and having great attendance/atmosphere do for our chances to move up?
I'm not asking anything about our athletic budget, while we all know that is a HUGE factor to consider, it's not my question. I want to know if y'all think anyone took notice of what we have accomplished the last 2 years and sees us as attractive? Budgets can be pushed aside if we are attractive enough.

There are no indications anywhere that any conference currently cares about either performance on the field or actual people at games.

That is insane but true. And we will always be at disadvantage until those things matter.

We have a dump for a stadium.
We are stuck in the SBC.
We have zero name recognition.

That is true.
However, this does not mean that WE shouldn't or can't care about performance, attendance, and facilities.
While I know that most of the people here will never convert to the Dark Side with me and go Indy, there is no reason we can't have an Indy mentality in the SBC or, a Big-12 mentality in the SBC.
We need to foster the attitude among the Cajun Nation that we are merely a major program in exile, and act like it, schedule like it, and support like it.
Then, one day, we WILL wake up with a major program's fanbase, attendance, facilities, and respect.
You don't have to be in the Big-12 to kick arse like you are a member of the Big-12.

And none of that had much to do specifically with Fred Moore
Jay's call of the N.O. Bowl
Anyone have any sound bytes from the radio broadcast? Would love to hear Jay call some of the pivotal plays.

They're replaying it this week. Friday I think
