That's not the right call before conference play even starts, IMO. Also, I agree, that's a move that could pay benefits (no doubt) next season, but what about the guys on the team in their last year who want to go bowling? Trust me, going to a bowl game, even another NOLA bowl would be a nice finish to any player's college football career. I know Des will lean in that direction rather than given the true freshman experience this season.
I'm not disagreeing with you as I'd love to see what he can do now, but HC needs to consider the whole team this season. If we lose a couple of conference games early and look to be out of the race to win the west, then he should go with Beale. But even then, Des is so loyal to the guys that have been with him, not sure what he would do.
But, there's absolutely no reason to redshirt any player, anymore.

I really hope he can put together a special season for the rest of the season, because I want him to succeed.
Des is a player's coach...this helps and hurts him at times. I do think his team plays hard for him and are motivated by him.

I agree, refs were decent. May missed the FM call, but that happens a lot.
If we played them again, I'm not putting any money on the game. Overall, they have better talent, especially in the trenches. They have been out recruiting us since CBN left and they were doing at least as well as us ever since Willie Fritz was their coach. The guy that game to them from Georgia southern, not the coach at UH.

Re: Live Game Talk: Louisiana vs. Wake Forest
If anyone is watching South Florida | Tulane, the ESPNU return from commercial break shot had a camera on "Lafayette Square." That's the original city of Lafayette, LA.
Perfect place to tailgate for next trip to Tulane.

Re: LGT Final: Louisiana 33 Tulane 41
Tulane is looking good against USF. They probably are the best team on our schedule. Bodes well for us today, I think

Thinking the same. They are having no issues with USF. Not sure USF is any good. But we looked significantly better last week.

And we let them off the hook!

Can you imagine how it will feel at the end of the year if we miss out on the playoffs due to losing one game? A game that we probably would have won had the time not been changed.

Why do you think we would have won the Tulane game if it had been played at a different time? Obviously, it was the same for both teams.

We had zero home field advantage that day. If that game was at night, that stadium would have been lit. That was the difference in the game.

Re: Live Game Talk: Louisiana vs. Wake Forest
I’ll disagree. I think our offense is on par with theirs but Tulane’s defense is way ahead of ours right now. Could we beat them, yes, but the better team won that day.

They beat us at the line of scrimmage. Better chance with a full stadium at night, but they were just a better team.

Home field advantage was given away.
