I am sticking with my observation. If I want to add a workshop in my backyard where my hot house is, what would be your solution in doing this job? And don't say this is apple and oranges either....:)

It is not only the support columns, it the brickwork between the support columns. But of course, I am going with the picture posted on the billboard outside of the Tigue and also on here.

The footprint for the stadium is BIGGER than the footprint for the clubhouse. The outside of the clubhouse will be inside the stadium. So the bricks you see on the outside of the stadium will not be at the same place as the outside of the club house. Imagine putting a little box inside of a big box.

Third base line where the existing bullpen is located. This would be a multistory facility and sketches indicate it could have some open area on the first floor. Think along the lines of a beach house where it is elevated. That would keep it from interfering with walking paths, covered pavilion area and even leave the bullpen pretty much intact.
I have not heard anything regarding the existing clubhouse.

So we will have a building within a building. Would love to have someone tell me where they have ever seen construction like this. After they build the new clubhouse will the old clubhouse remain as some relic of the past inside the bowels of the stadium? I guess what I am saying, why hold on to this building at all. The coaches and players are in the Cox building now. Maybe, and just maybe the ones in charge will construct a new building knowing that the Cox has to come down. I will be going down there today to see the footprint of the new construction along the third base side. And maybe, if I can find someone to give me answers about that section and how it will look. I am not pushing for some explanation, just curious......Might see Rob. He will know.

Hopefully this allows the cox building to be blown up sooner than later
And maybe can be converted to concessions and/or restrooms or maybe a visitors dressing room which would move us up a notch I would think.

The building inside the building becomes a room. All you have to do is walk over to cajun field and see the concession area as a building in a building. Or go to the Cajun dome and you will see the ticket offices as a separate building use in the structure. This is even more obvious now in that the dome is being totally renovated and when you go to the ticket office you don't see any evidence that the dome is being worked on.
Go to any high school football stadium and you will see rest rooms built under the stands. You could demolish the stands and have rest rooms or demolish the rest rooms and still have the stands.
Technically what we will have at Tigue Moore is what is called a "mixed use" structure. Nothing really unusual about it.

Busting rebar and setting forms today. Should be placing concrete for foundation very soon.

Precast concrete walls are going up at Southside High. Most of the Lemoine subs should be heading to the Tigue.
