Incredibly boring and frustrating to watch.
I haven’t experienced this too much with basketball this season, aside from the Arkansas State game where the teams shot like 60 free throws. Football is brutal for pace of play nowadays though.

There were 28 total fouls called last night and 29 total free throws shot. I think that was one of the better officiated games I’ve seen in a while.

Historically cajuns are not good at free throws so i could understand "wanting to let them play",...but better this year... however and probably more importantly usually underdogs are smaller ergo would benefit from slowing the game down and getting the big boys in foul trouble. So i would lean toward wanting more whistles

Still of the opinion that we should've had more than 1,000 yesterday. Softball had ended before tipoff. No parades. Super Bowl was still 3.5 hours from kickoff at the time.
It's just apathy at this point.
Maybe no parades during game, but Mardi gras f'd up the whole parking game. Or at least that's what the public was told before the game
The game during the Rio parade had more people than Sunday..... That was before the street fair took over all the parking

Craft beers have way less sales than the woke InBev boys, but seem way more popular and are talked about more, a buzz if you will.
How about call our basketball attendance craft fandon or something to that effect. Act like the low numbers is the buzz.
Mayne even close off sections or move to earl k long

This is what it takes now..
Across all sports you're hearing more and more coaches talk about how they spend an increasing amount of time promoting games, promoting their school, interacting online and in the community, etc. They all refer to these things as annoyances because it takes them away from their actual coaching duties, but that's where we are. Ark St vs Troy is basically a glorified high school game...
To be "successful" as a smaller school, you need a coach who is equal parts promoter and X's and O's type -- see Will Wade. The problem is, that coach is, from day 1, looking for any way possible to get to a school big enough where they promote themselves

At this level you have to promote like minor league baseball.

Exactly what I was thinking.
When I travel for work in the spring and summer, usually there is a minor league team nearby. I love going to those games. Cheap ticket, affordable concessions, always action going on to engage the crowd. Now it doesn't always work, but the effort is there.
I went to a Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp game last year and was kind of blown away. They had the place nearly full (11,000 seats), tons of promotions and stuff going on, and the game was good. AAA usually is. I bought a t-shirt.

Baby cakes use to do $50 all inclusive deal. You got to go in the club suite with all the food and drinks included.
