I'd imagine it was the administration at Tech and not the fan base. JMV can probably confirm.

Would not hurt in Women's basketball (La Tech had a RPI of 127 last year, Middle had an RPI of 41). And Football would not suffer as La. Tech and Middle while both were a little down last year both have had very good seasons in the past.
We need to add army and navy…. The two most attractive G5 schools to add value.

Why would we want them? Tech doesn't even have the largest enrollment in north Louisiana.

I admittedly don’t have a good source for you, but I remember seeing it reported on last year.
They only stared pushing once they realized that C-USA was going to be decimated (if not killed off) by the AAC/Sun Belt.
