UL vs. MT

MT pitches a shutout in the 2nd half.

MT coaching staff adjusts, we don't.

I wonder what Bustle will say in the postgame report???

We didn't score a single point in the 2nd half two weeks in a row!

Not even a safety, feild goal... NADA... nothing... like my $50 gone... zip zada lol.

We reverted back to our old ways in the second half. We had wide receivers wide open down the field all game long. Do we take advantage of that? No, of course not! We run on first on 1st and 2nd down and throw a screen pass on 3rd.

I felt I was looking at a CFL team in the second half with all of the punting. Of course it would have been a bizarro-CFL team with us running instead of passing. I guess it was great if you are a fan of punting.

How do we go from over 250 yards of offense in the 1st half to less than 100 in the 2nd half? Mind-boggling.

MT adjusted to our offense and started putting alot of pressure on Masson. Also, our play calling in the 2nd half seemed to be very vanilla.

And that is what is mind-boggling. Week after week we see signs of the opposition making halftime adjustments or even in-game adjustments and we seem to just keep doing the same thing with poor results and make no adjustments.

It seems as though our coaching staff is unable to or extremely slow in making in-game adjustments. Is our coaching staff that sold on their ability to game plan that they do not see the need for adjustments?

Our offensive playcalling seems to regress when we get a lead. We do not keep our foot on the gas and continue to build a lead. Being conservative will get you beat more times than not.

Unable is the answer. Look at FIU. The coaching staff made absolutely no adjustments at anytime during that game. Its almost like Bustle is afraid to lose too bad, so he just doesnt adjust and hopes it gets better. MTSU ran the ball to the sidelines constantly in the second half. No adjustment. Offense lost Marlin Miller, no adjustment. Vertical passing game working. Regress to screens and zone read plays. Losing this game shows just how stagnant this coaching staff is, almost acting as a lame duck.
