Yea, I had him for S&D since I was a ChE. Its amazing how little material he provided other then lecture, yet it was very clearly presented and simplified (for most people.) His sense of humor was only rivaled by Dr. Perkins of the Chemistry Dept.
Robert Lee is a nice guy, but no results. (Sorry, had to post something topic related :p)

And his resemblence to Norman Bates was down right amazing.

Any takers on the over / under on how long before he returns and says some more? _
When the state is sued and loses, doesn't the legislature have to pass legislation approviong the payment? And the payment taken ut of a fund in Baton Rouge and not form UL? That said, I do not htink we are paying "Toothpick's" judgement. Just wondering.....
If our leadership would excercise due dilligence in hiring these people in the 1st place, and have get a committee of PROFESSIONAL HIRING MANAGERS WHO WOULD DONATE THEIR TIME, would we not get better hires and NOT have to figure out how to pay them off every four years or so?
Had that been done, posts about Baldwin, Cyprien, Silvey, Lee and Rogers woud have escaped this board.

We had a new professor last semester in the Chemical Engineering dept, UL grad in ChEE, went to MSU for MS and Ph.D. The ChEE head of dept. at MSU helped us get a GCMS for our dept. and came set it up last semester, he spoke to our CHEE 101 class while he was here, he was a pretty cool guy. Evidently MSU and UL's ChEE departments are working with each other on alternative fuel ideas

No disagreement with your assertation about the hiring process at all. the previous administration could have done a better job. Lets hope the new crew does a much better job when the situation arises.
As for the Baldwin settlement it is paid by istate nsurance not by UL. Now I'm not certain whether or not it is a traditional policy through a provider or a slef-insurance fund as you suggest. But the main point is that it doesn't come out of UL's general fund or athletic budget resulting in an inability to buy out Coach Lee or to pay better as our "reliable source" visitor asserted

That's why I went out of state for school. Like I told Fofo or whatever his name is, if you want to line up education wise against me, YOU WILL LOSE. Guaranteed! Better yet let's line up Mississippi State Engineering grads vs UL Lafayette Engineering grads and see who's last between the two in education?
Time to let it go and move on with your life! I've said what I needed to say. _
Our Dean of Engineering came from M state---b

LIke i told the guy before, i'm willing to let by gones be by gones but it seems like you guys have hostility towards me that you need to let go. _
Hey now, don't bring me into this one.
