There’s a reason Louisiana players are some of the best college and professional players in great numbers. Louisiana high school coaches.

Jim Hightower for defensive coordinator and Sonny Charpentier as RB coach - I'm kidding. I have full faith in Mike to bring in the right replacements for the departures and fully expect him to earn those raises that Napier got as he ascended the ranks as a top coach in the G5.

I, for one, hope we can retain Leger and Viator especially for recruiting purposes.

I don’t know about Hightower for defense. Did y’all see their results this year?!

I think there will be a time when Mike gives a local HS coach a shot, just as he was given a shot.

But not this year.

Coach V would probably make more $ as HC at McNeese than as a position coach here....but V has always wanted to coach at UL. So there's that.

If Leger is the OC, he'd be taking a pay cut to be at McNeese as HC.

I agree with you on this, but a couple of guys could be possibilities this year and Trev Faulk could be one, but I really thought he would give Matt Dez a shot on this staff, no?

I think state nepotism laws prohibit that. It's the reason Mike and Steph and J. Kelley and Meredith were co-head coaches.
