Yeah I think they had 17 scholarships outstanding with the new signees and had to get them down to 11.7. I imagine there were several disappointed young men at exit interviews.

Actually you have 28 scholarships as you're 11.7 needs to be divided into at least 28 players.

It's 28, and you're right about the 7 minimum for that number and the 4.7 extra to divide up between those 28. Typically they are used to give 100% scholarship to project starting pitchers primarily or to a lesser degree five tool position players.

This should be everyone's main concern right now. The more time that passes without an announcement, the more I think JT stays. The more I think JT stays, the more foolish I feel for fantasizing about being in a regional next year.
