Re: Construction Cam is Up!!!!!!!!
When I grow up, I want to work in construction. Looks like a pretty stress free job.

Still trying to figure it out. How will they build this support behind the third base bleachers like on the first base side with the clubhouse in the way? What are you saying is that they are going to have a hole in the clubhouse for the support beams and after the stadium is completed the team will occupy the clubhouse with construction going through it? The construction on the first base side will be about 15 feet or so behind the bleachers. If they do this on the third base side the clubhouse should be gone.

Frenchie the only thing that will disturb the clubhouse are a couple of support pillars. I'm guessing they are no more than two feet in diameter so a couple of those isn't going to be that big of a deal. They will cut out some holes in the clubhouse roof and the clubhouse floor to pour the footings and pillars. Once they are installed they will seal around them in the roof. The platforms elevation will not interfere with the clubhouse either.

You might want to reconsider that.

I'd be shocked it the stadium is not symmetrical.
The stadium seating will be symmetrical the support columns may not. If they are not who cares, you won't see the columns as they will be enclosed in the brick facade.

As answered in another post, yes the support column will go through the clubhouse with the roof being sealed once completed and with the clubhouse being reoccupied once the work is done.
This will be in use until they begin work on the proposed new $4M clubhouse-training (pitching/hitting) facility which was discussed as part of the stadium project but was delayed. I'm thinking it will be as nice or nicer than those at South Alabama which were sponsored by ex-Jag major leaguer's Jon Lieber and Luis Gonzales.
I wonder if we have some current/former major leaguer's who may play a part in their construction? ;)

So the Cox building will be taken down before the new Clubhouse is built therefore the coach and players will have to move out of the Cox building when the roof is sealed around the columns that will go through the old clubhouse......Please don't advertise this because the school to the east of us and the one to the north of us.....way north, will have a field day on that plan.

Yes, the Cox building will stay until the current baseball stadium construction is completed. The current clubhouse went through a renovation about 2-3 years ago and will serve until the new clubhouse complex is built.

Come on Frenchie, this should not be too difficult to understand!

I'm not understanding why you think this is a problem. Almost any building of any size has numerous support columns in it. What is the big deal with a couple of them in the current clubhouse?
