Faulkenberry, Tamarillo, Robertson, Stokley, Baldwin the term applied.

The last two coaches stayed in the game and got hired right away.

In this particular case, all 3 of those guys were already wanted at the respective schools they went to. The Ark state gig was more of a formality to get them head coaching experience to make the hire look right on paper. Luckily for them, they all did well in their 1 season at Ark state.

So Bryan Harsin was wanted at Boise before he coached a game at Arkansas st?

I get that he played and coached there but it that’s a bit of a stretch after the success they had at Boise

If they were really wanted they would have went there first. Why would all 3 of the schools let the country see their guy at stAte and open up bidding wars? If Boise, auburn and ole miss all really wanted them, letting them go prove their worth for all to see would be about the dumbest thing in the world to do. There weren’t openings at those schools when those guys went to stAte.
