Chandler Fields does graduate in December. Prediction I am not certain about is he moves on as a grad transfer.

Am I the only one really irked that we gave up that late big play for a TD. Just took some of the shine off a great game by the D
Also, will the big guy 79 Maillho (sp?) see the field. Hurt last year. On 2 deep earlier but I didn’t see him go in. He looks leaner and more into game on sidelines. Love his size. Vision not as good as in past. If he played, any comments for anyone? Thanks.
I left at beginning of fourth quarter due to having grandchild in group. Gerald and Jay said lots of young guys were in game late and that may have included some OL. I was irked by late score too. Attribute it to young guys blowing a coverage. Maybe they learn from the mistake.

Reduced from 41K to 34K? 20K in a 34K stadium still look blah. Kind of like 500 folks in the 12K Cajundome.

If the new stadium has massive, and I mean massive, connectivity improvements it will help.

I will have to check with my source to see if that is in the plans. Once I find out I will shoot you a text.

The new ticker looked good but are they only using it for advertisers? Was hoping they would maybe have some score updates of conference games

Macky played last series when chandler and kendrell Williams came in. Looked large and physical for the 3-4 plays.

Our passing game sucks. QB made terrible throws to him all night. He should’ve fought them, but those throws weren’t easy catches.
QB was running for his life all night and didn’t have time to set up in the pocket on the vast majority of pass plays.

I’m just saying if our OL/QB play doesn’t improve in the passing game we will have a very long year. Even with an extremely manageable schedule.

I didn’t talk to a bird, but I did tell my buddy sitting next to me in the stadium complaining about the play, that it was obvious they were being very vanilla and not showing anything. Almost as if it was a pre season game. With that said the O line will have to play much better to have future success.

I do not disagree. It definitely starts up front. I think Ben will be ok if they give a little protection and time.

Johnson was targeted 11 times yesterday. BW was shaking off some rust and looked a little hesitant at times but as you stated, he was running for his life and every time you looked after a play he was on the ground. He was getting hit a lot. The Oline will fix the mistakes and BW will improve and be sharper in game 2.
One thing you know is BW is a gamer and leader. Shown by him running, chasing down that guy after the fumble and saving 7 points. That would have been a momentum shift with NW taking a 10-7 lead.
First game after tearing his ACL too. His knee is definitely better than we all thought. I for one didn’t expect him to go out there and be perfect. He’ll be fine.

None of that needed, common sense tells me he will be ok.
A long layoff plus coming off an injury account for the rust last night.

Re: injured Northwestern player
Jax Harrington rolled the player up pretty good while pancaking him....

11 targets, 3 catches for 34 yards and 2 drops? Did I get that right?

I wonder if the birds were listening when the cheerleading squad used their horns? Maybe JayBird heard the calling?

He is the most NFL ready per Coach Lege. Everything from his mind set, work ethic, nutrition, study, etc.
