It depends on the total amount of the contract. I don't know if the APC and the stadium are all one contract. I would assume no, because everything I have heard is that the stadium was to be finished prior to August 30. Currently for Lafayette Consolidated Government work a contract between 2 and 5 million dollars liquidated damages are $1,260.00 per day and for a contract between 5 million and 10 million liquidated damages are $1,470.00 per day. I would think this contract is in those ranges. These figures are for a Calendar day or fixed date (fixed completion date) contract. These types of contracts make no allowance for rain days or holidays.

Re: Is that a construction cam?
Any recent pics that are going to be posted this evening? I have been seeing USA, ULM, GSU, Texas State, etc fans up on the hills looking at the work being done!

I talked to him several times, bringing him paint & brushes etc. He couldn't believe how friendly everyone at UL was and that he was fed for free. I think we won him over that day. All of the volunteers back then were the building blocks for where we are today. (That was the same day that the "Lafayette" sign disappeared from the end zone)
I know that was crazy!

Re: Is that a construction cam?
I noticed several (5+) large flatbeds at Blackham with huge prefab concrete "walls" ---I guessing on what they are....would those have something to do with the concessions etc? After the shower, we also have a new lake behind the weight room.

Precast concrete sections are for the parking garage on campus.

The engineer on site gave me a hard hat and said that I could go on site to take pictures with no problem......They will start the concession section after they finish the seating. He also said the progress will begin to go a little faster. They will also work at night because of the heat during the day. And it will all be finish by Aug. 30. Then the Athletic center next.....great to be a Cajun.......
Any reason they are waiting until Aug. 30 to start The Athletic Center? Why aren't they starting now? Will they still be able to have it completed by Aug. 30, 2015?

Plans aren't done. Same firms working on both the stadium and the athletic center. They got on the athletic center full steam once the stadium was bidded out.

Can they finish it in one year and have it ready for football season? We will be hosting Boise State with a lot of national exposure. Would be nice to have completed by then.

We don't host Boise until 2016.

I would think that if they can't or won't fix it then they should take it down. I really looks small time.

Agreed! Wish we knew who to contact so we could bombard with emails, etc. This just sucks....
