Edwin told me that this cat used to suck grape jelly out of his bung hole when he was in the pen. He called it "Hog Heaven Governor Grape Delight".

I expected Arkansas to score 31 points. They scored 34.
It's our offense that disappointed me. I thought our receivers and Broadway would be tough to stop. NOT. I predicted 34. We ended up with less than half of that. Offense couldn't move the ball and run down enough time to give the D enough rest time. Just didnt look good.
Surgent sure had a quiet game.
SEC is the toughest conference. SBC is 10th of 11 conferences in strength.....I really hoped we would play well enough to at least make it a good game, but we got beat at all positions. Doesn't mean we still cannot win the SBC conference, but talk of beating SEC teams is silly at this point. Hud is doing a good job recruiting, but it will take a while to attract the best of the best out of high school. Hopefully having coach Hud, the campus and stadium upgrades, TV time, and being tops in our conference will draw those guys here. Unless there is a fluke like almost happened against the gators last year, we probably will not beat SEC teams in the next 3-5 years, but we can start competing better and better every year till that blessed day!!
I love the respect Louisiana was shown by the broadcast. They referred to us as Louisiana and had a lot of good promotional footage. As for the game, it was decided exactly how I thought it would. The result just didn't match. I knew the O and D line would be key. Our O line had Broadway in constant trouble and our D line did not help our cause. I did have hope after the first quarter but it only got worse. This game does not represent this season. For that I am glad. The Cajuns will bounce back but this was a bad start. Now they play a Kansas St. team that is none too happy about dropping a home game to a lower lvl team, regardless of how good they are. Was hoping for better. I think by seasons end I will be happy with this season though.
3 plays and its a 7 point game.
Dudes... quit assessing the Cajuns and ignoring Arkansas. Arkansas has rebounded from last year. Plain and simple.
How is Broadways knee? Someone might have posted this already.
Just ate some bad BBQ. Long drive back to Lafayette. Looking forward to improvement next week. Heads up. Geaux Cajuns.
That's right coach. Arkansas has a very tough schedule. But, they are as good as they are... regardless of their schedule. I expect we will look better next week... and the week after that. We are as good as we are. The outcomes will be a measure of our ability and the ability of our opponent... in each and every case... as was the case today.
I surmise Arkansas to be a better team than Kentucky.. But Western looks damn good.
....and Ringo!
Want to know what was worst..? Sitting in 118 degree weather watching all this unfold live. So miserable!
Trainers were looking at Broadway's knee according to Josh Parrot.
because the people of the great state of Louisiana love me... as Champ Kind told Ron Burgundy in THE ANCHORMAN,.."I miss you, I can't do without you, why don't you and I get an apartment together, I miss your talk, I miss your smell, I miss your musk."....that's your relationship with me, Edwin Edwards, you can't help it that I'm in your head.....by the way, the WR you guys have at Louisiana is a first round NFL pick for sure, that guy can flat-out play the game and you guys should have thrown to him more
No more white helmets ever again
