I think folks are correct in some of their comments, but maybe they do not realize that players playing out of position due to injuries was what made them correct...

Now there is some clarifications, this team in our district runs it because of talent level, they feel this offense helps to elevate their talent system. But as BOP has often said, what determines if it is good or not is P-L-A-Y-E-R-S! If a team like North Shore (in Houston) would run the option, I am sure they would win a lot, because they have athletes. This other team?? They finish last every year in our district. I don't think that shows any elevation of talent. The school I coach at is also behind the bar talent wise. We recently shifted to a spread/passing offense and turned our focus to defense. We have made the playoffs 2 of the last 3 years. All of that to say, I am not a fan of the triple option, but no matter who is brought in, it all depends on what players are brought in as to whether this is a successful hire. Just my thoughts. _
Every team in the FBS who runs the flex is in a bowl game this year and none of these teams would be considered very talented but they win. The system works very well when coached correctly.
Re: Is this troublesome (Sewak)?????
It really doesn't matter what system we use, as long as it wins games, a whole lot of them. That's the system I want.

I'm surprised it took you this long. ;) Hopefully our soon-to-be leaders on the O-line will take ownership and help the entire group as a whole get better. I'm not an insider by any stretch; but you'd have to admit we MUST get better upfront. From what little I was able to watch last year, we just didn't seem to create opportunities for the backs too often. Maybe scheme can help; but the guys need to continue working hard to get better too.

When it comes to the OL there is only one proven fact...they stunk.
Why they struggled is not fact. It could have been injuries, scheme, talent, inexperience or a combination of these. We as fans will never know. What we all want and hope is that this group can come together next year and help this team win. We cannot do it without marked improvement from them.

I think we had injuries to OT's, a position that we entered the season with little depth on, and then had OG's trying their best to play OT in almost every game. And yes, there's a reason blind-side OT's are the second highest paid position in the NFL, it matters :-)

Well hopefully we can change a negative (having to play so many young guys all over the place) into a positive next season. Lots of younger guys got experience that should be beneficial regardless who the next coach is. We are not without talent on the line; but as a unit it was down from previous years. And yes, I'm trying to be a little PC here. Happy Holidays.

I agree...I choose to blame the coaching staff and not the O-line play. Problem solved!!!
