Yes, Sampy has been deemed "go to go" by the coaching staff.

There are also work days scheduled for the Sat. & Sun. after the 13th. Don't remember the times. The Sun. session is to end prior to Fan Day activities.

LOUISIANA La. — Chemistry doesn’t come in a day, or a week, for that matter.
One day into fall drills, Louisiana is far from the cohesive squad the Cajuns hope to be when they take the field for the Sept. 4 opener against Northwestern State at Cajun Field.
And judging from last year’s team, which won four of its last five games, chemistry sometimes takes even longer to develop.
“Cohesion is something that’s hard to do in the summer,” Cajun coach Rickey Bustle said after Monday’s practice. “Some of the players were here, some were here a lot and some were at home. Chemistry is something we hope to develop over these next few weeks.”
To speed that process along, Bustle and the team held a meeting on Sunday night to get practice off on a positive note.
“We don’t want to have things bother us without talking about them,” Bustle said. “We wanted to talk some things over, and be ready to get out here today. We want to do all we can to try to make this a special year.”

Numerous Cajuns were on hand during the summer to help make that idea a reality, a positive sign for Bustle.
“We had between 40 and 60 players in here working out on any given day,” he said. “Guys were working on jobs, and had class, but overall it was good. We had about 50 kids here a day.”
The Cajuns changed defenses in the spring, and also altered some elements of the offense, so recognition will remain a critical element of these early drills.
“I thought it went pretty well today,” Bustle said. “You don’t assume anything, but it looked like we retained a lot from the spring.
“This week is all mental. When you line up, you have to be able to know where to go, and what to do once you make your reads.”
Monday’s first day of drills was warm, but not as heated as many August days are in south Louisiana. Also, the humidity hovered in the unusually-light range of 35 percent and occasional breezes aided the effort as well.
“It was a pretty nice day,” Bustle said. “I thought the kids bounced around real well. It looked like we were lining up in the right place, reacting and having some fun. I thought it was good for the first day.”
Chemistry will take time to develop, but the Cajuns got a start in the right direction.
CAJUN CLIPPINGS — Port Barre High School product Abdule Levier, who missed the 2003 season with a torn left anterior cruciate ligament after signing with the Cajuns, tweaked his right hamstring during pass skeleton drills and watched the remainder of practice with ice on the leg ... the Cajuns practice again at 2:30 (freshmen) and 3:30 (full squad) again today and Wednesday ... while Jerry Babb returned to drills as UL’s No. 1 quarterback, junior college transfer Luke Sniewski threw well on Monday.
