Very frustrating end to a miserable season.

Re: I-Bowl Final: Louisiana 16, Houston 23
Cajuns have too few difference makers to have self inflicted wounds like tonight. They needed to be at least even on the turnover margin. -3 in turnover margin and getting FG instead of TD in the 2nd Q doomed us. Coaching can always we blamed in a loss, but I put this one on the offensive players. They did not make enough plays to win.

Re: First losing season in 6 years?! Why ?!! THE HEAD COACH!!!
Billy Napier went 6-7 his first year.

That is not what he posted.
His emergency duty performance is encouraging for next year no matter where he ends up on the depth chart.

It was stated that Ben would be the starter and backed up by CF.

And who calls the plays?

Re: I-Bowl Final: Louisiana 16, Houston 23
A lot to build on, but man this stings. Can’t imagine how the seniors feel. Maybe just happy to get warm.
We were every bit Houston’s equal. Un characteristic fumbles, QB going down, bad penalties. That’ll lose you games.

Different thread, different topic.
His play today was encouraging going into next year.

Ben didn't play today. CF play was always going to be encouraging with more reps.

Re: I-Bowl Final: Louisiana 16, Houston 23
Our DBs got beat on five long passes. Four complete. Are we slow or was it poor positioning.
We were trying to keep plays in front of us but golly we were beaten a number of times.

It was said he went 6-7 his first year. That in fact is not true, he went 7-7 his first year.

Again, his comment was not about either of those players.
The backup QB play today was encouraging going into next year.

Tough call, because when they position correctly, Houston's offense turns those routes into slant routes.
I will say this, Houston's offense is accustomed to having three times as many of those types of plays per game.

Des. He has a bad OL, WR who cannot make contested catches and today a RB who made two critical fumbles. If he does not address the offensive deficiencies in the next 1-2 years I will place all the blame on him.

You left it open with "not true" I just filled in the blanks.
Besides he was correct on the number of losses, so you should have replied 'half true'
