Three very winnable games up next. If we can win these, we'll have a 7 or 8 win season. USA will be tough, but we should be able to handle both Tulane and NM State.
11 CBLs and 4 sacks on 4 days of practice...something you can build on
I saw a pretty good game from a really good McNeese team and a Cajun team that took six quarters to kind of get it together. Say what you want about McNeese but they are a good team would beat half of the sunbelt teams. I have watched all eight quarters of Cajun football and feel that we are starting to gel. If we keep improving I see a winning season this year. I like the young talent and then there is Eli and Jennings holding the offense together and getting better. So I have a positive outlook on the season don't expect to win them all but win the ones we are suppose to and sneak a victory or two from people who will overlook us. GEAUX CAJUNS.
One week at a time guys.....Big game this week....
You are wrong about McNeese and the Cajuns. McNeese wouldn't beat any Belt teams except possibly ULM. We were 30 points better than McNeese talent wise and still haven't found a way to find an offensive rhythm.
The shift to the 4 man front is something that should stick. But it was a game we should have won in a blowout.
I do.....IF WE....improve every week....improve and win, improve and win.....if we improve this week we will win.
I'm really proud of this group of young men. I really believe they turned a corner tonight, jumped a huge hurdle in righting this program, & getting it back on track toward building the kind of successful program so many of you are working hard, &'pulling for to be proud of.
Some times it's hard to see the light when you've finally tasted success after such a long period of drought. But I believe, & I've always believed that this school got the right man for the job when they hired Hudspeth. And I believe this will be his, & this program's finest year yet. And you guys are gonna be very proud of this team by years end. I hope all of you keep the faith, and I wish you all a super exciting, & unbelievably enjoy ours season. Nobody deserves it more than the craziest some times classiest fan base in college sports. Good luck to you all.
I'm excited by some of the new players. Bradley is an all conference type receiver. Calais, Dotson, Trev Miller all looked really good. I didn't watch him every play but when I did Dotson was physically able to hang with Golden. Jennings made some great throws and again, no picks. Both sides of the ball have to improve but I think we have the players to make it happen.
All this from a one touchdown win over a 1-AA team. I want what some of you are smoking. We looked better than we did week 1, but that wasn't difficult as we looked as bad as humanly possible. I still think South Al should beat us easily. Our defense is still nowhere near where it needs to be regardless of the "new look " we saw. Let's take a step back, realize what we just did, and keep it in perspective.
UL improved and got the w, South Al lost and looked bad doing it at home...
You do realize we were losing after the half when McNeese took the lead 15-14. At the point...and the way we had looked the previous week...the game easily in question. Again...I want what you guys are smoking. We didn't beat a top 25 FBS team. South Al could have lost by more, and yet they would still have a better resume than we have.
Boise is several steps ahead of MSU this year, plus MSU first game post Dak
