It appears MSU used ambiguous language relate cancelation fee paid to UL to cover their arse. Kudos to them.....it worked extremely well.

8 days since multiple media outlets reported that we backed out of the game vs Michigan State.

Still no word from university “leadership” as to if it is true that we were the ones to back out, and if we had to pay any money per the cancellation clause of the agreement.

For an organization that is trying to get people to donate money to them, the narrative that they are having to pay a $500k penalty is not a good one to solicit more donations . Just saying

Certainly not without at least giving said donors an explanation of what did occur and why. We paid a $500k penalty…ok, maybe there was a good reason for us to do that.

But damn, at least come out and explain to us why.

There is more to it than that.

Silence creates the perception that no school can trust making a contract with Louisiana.

At the very least the cost of buyouts will go up, something this school can't afford.
