That one is a state project. Money earmarked in future budgets.

It's been posted here ad nauseum that "the east side funding will come from the state"
No confirmations on when that will happen, but apparently we do not have it in hand as of yet

LoL! Dude, we're talking about Martin Hall. Why would you expect anything else?

Because the east side is state funded and the money has been earmarked already. They don’t want that out there.
It will be a very similar look, supposedly. It will also start when the west side is complete.
Re: BUILDthecULture.com (New Stadium)
Besides seating of course, which of these aspects will the east side incorporate and or have aspects of?
Education.
Dorms.
Retail.
Administration.
Suites.
Dining.
Corporate.
More.
Re: BUILDthecULture.com (New Stadium)
Will it go back to students only or still have visiting fans

Just so I'm understanding:
2024: Limited seating capacity because West tower is a pile of rubble
2025: Full capacity(ish) because west is finished and east hasn't started yet
2026: Limited capacity because east side is being worked on?
2027: Stadium finally finished?

I think so…but the state could not release the funding. So who knows.
It’s definitely a 5 year project.

Since the money is line itemed in Act 2 of the legislature it isn't a big secret. See below for details in the budget. NOTE: Priority 1 money is general obligation bonds that can be secured now. Priority 5 means it is a dream....that money will be available when the tooth fairy and Santa Claus come to an agreement.
Kinesiology, Hospitality Management, and Athletic Administration Complex, Engineering, Stabilization, Equipment, Planning and Construction (Lafayette)
Payable from General Obligation Bonds
Priority 1 $ 15,000,000
Priority 5 $ 22,000,000
Total $ 37,000,000
So as of now the state has allocated 15 mil. There might be other monies somewhere else that I don't know about.
While I'm not privy to much in the way of details on the Eastside I haven't heard anything regarding a change to seating on that side. As with most things it will boil down to funding and how fast they want to get something built. Do you roll with say 20 mil immediately? I assume we could find an extra 5 to go with the states 15 or do we push the timeline back a bit and get more funding together?

How far can we push back the timeline when we don’t have a pressbox?
