Re: Brett McMurphy reporting that Napier turned down Moo State
Bert still working them...7:18 this morning, regarding listing agent on home.
"Don't overload her with phone calls. She is who was recommended to the Napiers. I doubt she will even know until this afternoon."
Somebody did note there were no posts from Bert during our game last night. Could we have one of the most epic trolls in NCAA history amongst us?

So we have a few scholarships to award! We’re playing in the last game before national championship, how to increase program profile place a bunch of false rumors. Wow what’s this G5 coach passing on a P5 program, things must be great down there in Cajun country.

This whole Bert Stare troll has been the best thing I've seen in a chat room ever. I've no idea who he is, but the whole thing was genius. The hook was set when on Monday he called Moorhead's firing for the next day. When he was right on that, every word he said was gold for State fans: that he knew of information on the Louisiana side of things, that he was not an agent but worked in a profession where he dealt with sports agents, that the Napier deal was done, book it, and that anything else you heard out there was a smoke screen and disinformation (that last one gave the scam real legs). State fans pretty much swallowed it whole, even as more and more sports reporters were saying the Napier/State deal was not going to happen. I think he overstepped when he posted the MLS listing for a house in Starkville suggesting it was the one the Napiers were looking at. After that there were serious doubters.
But it was a week long scam that has State fans on that board drinking the Kool-aid. Brilliant.

Oh c’mon, the MLS posting was good! You had to keep them eating at the trough.. They were getting restless..

He actually said they were deciding on an agent, then posted the house and agent, then said its the first house the wife wants to look at. pssh

Re: Brett McMurphy reporting that Napier turned down Moo State
Hey Moo State.....it is Jan 7th and Napier isn't your coach.
The good news.....Trump is still your President!

Question for anyone who follows these things... Is Hud really in contention for the MS St job? I know he has connections, but his record as a Div 1 HC is not exactly stellar, plus the discipline, locker room, and recruting history would seem to be serious drawbacks. I have absolutely nothing against the guy, just don't understand if the speculation has a basis.

Hud has connections there, but apparently “those without sin, cast the first stone” doesn’t apply to some of the squeaky clean crowd in Starkville. Hud is a good coach who wants to be there.

I honestly think he is their best option for those two reasons. It doesn’t seem like there are many qualified people who want to be there, much less be there long-term. Plus, he would be super motivated to prove himself.

I thought stated to his staff that he was not a candidate?

Isn't that something Bert Stares put out there?

There they go again...

I understand BN will go one day. However I have a problem with the timing of all of this, AFTER the fall NSD.

Surely no sane bunch of people would go all in for something so...... Wait..... What?.... What's that? And, that was just last year?... Never mind.

Lol you think our message board can be obsessive, Moo and Baylor’s has been seeing like 100 times the volume.
I think Moo is currently more of a threat than Baylor. I think Baylor wants deep Texas recruiting roots, but Moo may be desperate since they lost another coach and may sweeten the pot for Napier. If Nap makes it to the interview with Baylor, he may be able to sell them and would take that job. I think if Moo St finalizes a decision on someone else, I think we survive this year.

Exactly.....A desperate and delusional Miss St scares the hell out of me.

Their servers have been garbage all day. Probably that influx of Cajuns looking to spy on them.
It would be crazy if Baylor saved us here.
If Napier is on interview list for Baylor, he shouldn’t accept Ms St until Baylor is settled. I think Baylor is 75 times more appealing. So let’s say he’s 2 or 3 on Baylor’s list, what if MSU is forced to make a decision sooner and goes with someone else, and then Baylor goes with McGuire. I really do think that taking Ms St is more risky than staying one more year with the Cajuns, assuming Billy is wanting to be hc of a top 10 team in 3 to 5 years and with Saban’s eventual retirement on the horizon.

Miss St has others on their interview list
