His house is in a FEMA flood zone. It got flooded like thousands of others the same day.
Bab did the Monday presser today, not Robe.

Of course his house is in a FEMA flood zone TODAY!
Yes, I heard Bab and he said nothing that most of us didn't already know.. Back to the drawing board.

That is actually a good point. The old maps left his house out. So many people got screwed by those maps.

I posted some info under the Miss. flood thread to try and not derail this one any further but you are correct. People have been led to have a false sense of co__ort. In this day and age those maps should go away completely and individual assesments be done for each property based on (at a minimum) height above base flood elevation. Right now a home 1 ft. above base flood, which is minimum to be outside the 100 yr. flood plain, can show up the same as a home 5 ft. above base flood elevation. Want to take a guess who has an exponentially higher risk?

A bunch of houses flooded in Youngsville, Milton in new subdivisions, outside flood zones. The Parish permitted faulty engineering. Somebody should go to jail, let along lose their job.

Goes back to my point yesterday. The program is caught in an uncontrollable downward spiral. Yes, injuries hurt the team. Yes, bad personnel decisions hurt the team. They can wring their hands all they want. The damage is done.

Guess u gonna blame him for his dads surgery right? As well as someone blaming Babb for not carrying flood insurance when he didn't live in a flood zone. You know some things on a personal level aren't anyone's dam business. If the man wasn't at a press conference he probably had a reason. I'm sure his boss was made aware of it

Check your reading comprehension bud. I specifically tried to steer the conversation away from the details of the situations. Either the coaches are here to do a job or they are absent. I have no problem with robe missing the presser for a family members surgery. Maybe there was team meeting happening. Maybe visiting with a recruit. Curious question. Try not to be so defensive.

That's the only point I was trying to make to Express, who has an insurance background. Back to the conversation of performance.

It was a good point. FEMA started changing the maps in 2014 and didn't finalize until late last year, two years AFTER the flood. We'll just talk baseball now.

Regardless of the injuries this team has not set the world on fire the paat 3 years that's why people are not happy

I definitely get that. Reality is every team deals with injuries, draft, class turnover, recruiting, etc. Us, not so well. That is the day to day business of college baseball. I am lowering my expectations over the next season, or three based on a new reality.

Might need to stick with the “or three.” I know even the best have a bad day, however a local pitching commit to Cajuns came to LAFAYETTE Saturday and failed to record an out.

Re: BB G3 Final Louisiana 5, App St 6
Yep. Three, or four are probable. This next period may be known as the lost years of the program.

Bet all those box and suite holders are excited that they’ll see maybe one legitimate team in the multi year commitment they signed.

Re: BB G3 Final Louisiana 5, App St 6
For the next few seasons I'll just focus more on individual player performances for each team, the game experience and less on the record, RPI, regionals. If I focus on the latter I'll be sad, too. This is the conclusion I've arrived at.
The disclaimer is the college baseball volatility factor. However, this team has shown a very steady decline for years with little divergence.
