I'm not sure what's so bad about the confusion.

Imagine someone in Minnesota seeing across their crawlers: "LA 33 GS 26."

They say, "LA? Who's that?"

I'm trying to understand the downside of someone who otherwise never notices us taking notice.

Isn't that the point of a brand?

My understanding is that it starts with basketball. We'll find out tonight if BTN adopts it, although I believe they already refer to us as "Louisiana."

We can't have it both ways. We either market to differentiate ourselves, or keep "UL-ing" (and adding "Lafayette" and keep getting "UL-Lafayette'd" and "Lafayette'd."

I like UL.

I like LA more, because it differentiates us.

I heard a few times in the background the GSU (southern, not state) PA guy call us Lafayette.

A lot of these graphics packages are done before the season starts.

Everybody needs to practice patience here. We've waited this long for the university to finally get this right. We can wait a year or so to work out all of the kinks with ESPN and the SBC.

Probably gonna have to wait til next year to get any of this changes. I'm just happy things are getting changed and we are pushing this. Makes the waiting easier

I don't know who (ESPN? Uverse?) is responsible for this, but this was my Uverse app from last night.
