Re: ELFRID GETS THE START!
Was it me or was ep's back up starting for Louisiana college last year? And Jesus Davis is a beast. To think he"d be what a junior at Kentucky? My god.
Re: ELFRID GETS THE START!
I enjoyed the game last night and watching Elfrid play. He has work to do but is talented enough to play in the NBA. Those were two awful teams last night, but luckily I was overserved last night and didn't mind the bad play. I'm just getting back to Lafayette now.
FYI, free until November 4th. http://www.nba.com/leaguepass/broadb...:buynow:button Also you can pick 5 teams to watch all of their games for $149 or $199 for all 30 teams. If you have a Fire TV the app works great.
James Harden: Elfrid Payton Is 'Real Good'

"Your boy is good," Houston Rocket's guard James Harden told Payton's father via Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders. "Real good."
"I appreciate that," Payton Sr. told the All-Star shooting guard.
That's high praise from Harden. Payton thought Harden's comments were "cool" and is also getting a lot of help from his own veteran teammates.

Read that article yesterday. It is a good piece
Re: ELFRID GETS THE START!
I'm not a big NBA guy and essentially know nothing about the NBA but I was impressed with EP last night. Esp considering it was his first game.
Its easy to tell that he is very comfortable playing with NBA caliber players. He made a couple of drives to the basket that were classic EP.

Elfrid looked good but you can tell he will have to adjust to the NBA's athleticism over what he's used to. Obviously, he's not used to going up against guys like Jrue Holliday and even at the PG position, they can block his shot and stay in front of him much better than what he saw here. However, he has the quickness and length to be effective and will just need time to settle in. He is certainly going to have to work on his jumper as they were laying off of him and essentially daring him to shoot. I don't care how good you are of a handler or distributor of the ball, if you can't shoot in the NBA, you aren't going to play all that much. I liked what I saw from him and its going to help him once Oladipo comes back as well.
