Nothing is a given, however the ODU game was one we were supposed to win. Its fair to question if we can steal one we're not favored to win to make up for this loss. That will be telling. Also its too early to throw in the towel on the season or CMD. But you gotta win the games you're supposed to win. That is a big concern now plus with the echos of same issue from last season creeping in.
As for the fan attendance in 2021 season, there was still alot of government and media overreaction to COVID at the time. Not trying to downplay the threat to the elderly or medically compromised, it just seemed like the media enjoyed freaking people out on a daily basis. Some folks had good reasons to stay away from big crowds as the Delta spread had just passed. Others fell out of the habit of going out to games and other activities. Its unlucky for UL fans, it happened during two great football campaigns.
We win at UAB then the athletic department needs to crank the marketing faucet wide open to promote next home game. Buy a ticket to it, get next home game ticket free. IDK what will work but get a marketing strategy/campaign, make goals, and execute.
Remind me how many times that Glasco has been to the WCWS in his 8 years here? How many supers has he been to? With all the studs he has pulled from the portal, he still hasn't been to the WCWS and been to 1 super regional. You are right that softball isn't the same as it was 10 years ago when the Cajuns were regularly going to supers and even the WCWS.
I personally believe we are in need of better asst. Coaches
