Re: Crowd estimate for Basketball Senior Night.
One of the things that is advantageous for students is that they get in free. I think one of the things that got students to stay the last few years was the chance to shoot for money at halftime. I think I have seen more of a social media presence the last few months

Beard is poached and goes to TTU. If we were to follow that path, there may be many more similarities between the two and you'll have to find something better than age.
Beard was poached because he worked a miracle in one year at little rock, and because he is a Bobby Knight disciple. Bigfish is neither a miracle worker nor a Knight student. Age is a minor factor.

Is there not a game thread?

I don't think TTU is hiring him because he was a Bobby Knight disciple. He had a miracle year and showed he could recruit. Mid level P5 teams are always poaching the hot lower level coach. This type of year with extended play in the tournament could open doors for Marlin that weren't originally open. Nobody knows if that will happen at this point but it would raise his stock big time if it did.

IIRC, in Marlin's first year, the last home game of the year was against Denver and there were over 8,000 in attendance. It is a shame that THIS TEAM will not have that recognition.
I guessed wrong.
Actual attendance reported was 5275.

Beard was one of the hottest coaching names coming out of 2016. TTU was familiar with him, sure, that doesn't mean he wouldn't have gotten a big gig somewhere else had they not come calling.

Exactly makes my point.

More than any other sport, in basketball coaching pedigree matters.
