Dude, through 4 years and 4 bowl wins, Hud has had incredibly stable coach retention. He fired Stewart (which was needed) and Edwards (we don't know the story). Saunders left for family reasons, Willis, Wallerstedt, and Rebowe left for promotions. So in his tenure we've had two firings, 3 promotions, and one neutral move on a staff of 11. That's 6 changes over 4 years out of a possible 44 (if you figure 11 possible changes a year over 4 years with our success). Does it suck that it hit in one offseason? Sure. But let's not pretend like we can't hold on to coaches and they're abandoning a sinking ship or making lateral moves.
On the flip side, we're going to have entirely new, VETERAN defensive staff with entirely new energy and scheme, coaching guys trying to earn spots from departed stalwarts like Ringo, Hamilton, and Trimm. I'm excited about our potential on that side of the ball.
