Bustle is hoping his team starts putting things together right at the start of training camp, beginning at 9 a.m. Friday when dorms open. UL meets as a team at 2 p.m. Friday prior to physicals, and the squad officially begins practice at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

<p align=justify> It's five days and counting before UL's football team can begin the process of redemption.
The Ragin' Cajuns report for the start of fall drills Friday, anxious to erase the memories of a 2006 season that fell well below expectations and anxious to begin a season in which Sun Belt Conference honors are definitely up for grabs.
Yes, the process of putting 2006 in the past began several months ago in spring drills. And, yes, it's not like last fall was a disaster, since the 6-6 finish matched the most wins the Cajuns have recorded since 1993.
But so much more was expected at this time last year. UL was a consensus pick to win the Sun Belt, and showed its potential in an early-October road win at eventual Conference USA champion Houston. But three straight mid-season conference losses turned a potential dream season into a nightmare.

"We were all disappointed," said Cajun coach Rickey Bustle, who made major staff changes following last season. "Sometimes things just don't go your way."
Bustle and the veteran players will be aiming for something more akin to the end of the 2005 season, when UL needed only one break to earn a New Orleans Bowl berth. The Cajuns won five straight Sun Belt games to end the season, tying for the league title and missing out on the bowl bid in a complicated three-team tiebreaker.
This season, Troy is picked by most outlets and the league coaches to win the regular-season title - not a surprise, since the Trojans romped to a 41-14 bowl win over Rice to end last season. But Bustle said carrying success from one season to the next isn't a given.
"It's going to be the team that gets together and chemistry just takes over, and they get to playing well," he said at last week's Sun Belt football media day. "That's what happened to us two years ago. We had the same team at the beginning of the year (1-5) as we did at the end (5-0) - it was the chemistry just hit.
"It's the team that puts it together that will win it, the hot team, which I don't know who that will be because I think this conference is very close."
Bustle is hoping his team starts putting things together right at the start of training camp, beginning at 9 a.m. Friday when dorms open. UL meets as a team at 2 p.m. Friday prior to physicals, and the squad officially begins practice at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
New coaching staff members Blake Anderson (offensive coordinator/quarterbacks), Kevin Fouquier (defensive coordinator/linebackers), Hurlie Brown (cornerbacks) and Daryl Mason (wide receivers) were all on board well before UL's spring practice. But the weekend workouts will be the quartet's first sessions with their position groups with a true deadline in place - the Sept. 1 season opener at South Carolina.
The coaching faces won't be the only thing new about fall practice. Barring any last-second delays, the Cajuns will have use of their new indoor practice facility by the time the 105 players report Friday, giving UL much more flexibility in its drills. Rain will no longer be a factor, and the Cajuns can also go inside during two-a-days to avoid back-to-back high-heat workouts.
"Having that will let us do so much more in planning our practices," Bustle said. "We'll be able to keep our guys a lot fresher and we won't have to worry about falling behind because of the weather or the heat."
The preseason schedule will also help that freshness. Because of the Aug. 20 start of classes and UL not playing until two weeks after classes begin, the Cajuns will have only 18 practices scattered over the 15 days of drills before the semester opens. UL has only four two-a-day sessions scheduled, and has five days of once-daily drills to start the fall slate.
UL has three full-scale scrimmages scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 11, Saturday, Aug. 18 and Wednesday, Aug. 22, with those sessions tentatively set at Cajun Field.

Apparently they have designated an area for visiting fans to tailgate and it is not along Bertrand Drive but in a section along Congress St.Quote:

It's good to see these numbers. They look solid.
I went on line to the SBC site...I was wrong about CBS...Its CSS....
I tried to go online to find out...couldn't find much...unless I just absoultely missed the point....I'm thinkin...CSS may be Cox Sports South?...I hope not...I'm on DirecTv...maybe someone more computer savvy can do the research....
Thanks....

CSS is a branch of CBS, I think. It stands for College Sports something, if I'm not mistaken, and its their version of ESPNU. I think that with DirecTV, you'll have a better chance of getting the games than with Cox or other cable providers. Whether or not it will come std or you will need to buy a sports package is different.Quote:
