You two have always seemed to have level-headed comments that I think we (Cajun fans) should take as constructive and not be so defensive because of your monniker! I think we all want our respective universities to be the best they can be and an outsiders view helps at times. Now, if we can be the best we can be that would eliminate a lot of negativity!

I would imagine that the reason it's like this is because not all schools have the large screens like the CajunDome does. But, everyone can have a small screen on the scorer's table. It's about fairness and equality, which are the two qualities the NCAA operates by daily.

I find him very comparable to John Brady. Neither guy is a bad coach, just needed to part ways with their respective schools. Brady has done a pretty good job at Ark State so far, and his resume isn't shabby. Gottfried could tell recruits that he put several guys into the NBA, made an elite 8 appearance, won SEC titles, etc. Like you stated, he should definitely get a look if the position were open.

I'm an administrator for an LSU message board, and I enjoy our visitors. Personally, I get bored when reading the same point of views day after day. Now, I don't enjoy when an opposing fan joins simply to flame the board with posts that have no substance. Having spent a lot of time in Lafayette, I figured I'd join your site. My in-laws have strong ties to your school and I'll admit that I'm a casual fan of the Cajuns. As long as it doesn't interfere with my alma mater, I'll pull for the Cajuns and attend games from time to time.

"Where was the monitor?"
Same place as YG's plaque.

Good question. Z knows, but he won't tell us.
And since you're new here, it's a long-standing joke here about YG's old plaque that "mysteriously" disappeared when she moved across the basin.

Thanks for the heads up. I had heard that before, but wasn't sure if there was any truth to the statement.

And before anyone leaps on me, I well know that interesting things take place everywhere.:) _
After reading you post and reading between the line that some home court cooking could have taken place, my son, his wife and I went to the basketball courts on Cajundome Blv. and created the same shot. Of course he didn't make it. I threw the ball to him with his back to the goal, he turned and dribbled 4 times (he was turning right before the ball got to him) and threw the ball up. It took 2 secs. to leave his hands. His wife had the stop watch. We created it 3 times with the same results. Yes it can be done. You see it wasn't a set shot. It was put up in desperation........

HAHAHAHA!!!! I spewed a few chunks while reading that! Just read "Slam Dunked" for a peek into the NCAA's fairness doctrine!
