Just went to the post office and in my box was a commemorative New Orleans Bowl issue. Made my day. I'm ready to leave right now.

I was just informed by the Cajundome Box Office that there weren't many tickets left for the game. I asked specifically if she was referring to the UL allotment, and she said that she was not speaking of the allotment, but for the game itself. I asked if we were getting close to the 65-70K capacity...and she said yes.
While I would love for this to be close to true, I do not think it is. My concern is the total mis-information given by a UL-associated entity. Just dosen't look good for our people to be so wrong.
Will they be selling these? Or was that a gift to RCAF members?
Would love to frame one.
During the day you should have no problem with 18+ year olds... Our favorite on Saints game day (especially when it is a night game) is the Beach on Bourbon... 400 block I think.... it is an indoor/outdoor venue.... They have a DJ and a sort of Master of Ceremonies that keeps the action going.... they typically play Saints music on game days so I am sure they will adapt to the Bowl fans..... They will have drinking competitions (no helpful for your younger ones but fun nonetheless.... give it a try..
After dark.... no real recommendations.. sorry... I am in the same boat
I am watching the news here in New Orleans on WWL TV and they just showed a commercial on the RL Carrier's New Orleans Bowl Football Game and had the Cajuns cheerleaders on the commercial showing the different events friday night at Spanish Plaza and game day activities. Pretty Cool
Historically the New Orleans bowl has given out a ton of tickets..... so depending on how many they give out, there may not be that many left to purchase. The Superdome will still be long way from being full though.
That would be amazing if true!
I am bringing the family and I am wondering what is planned for Saturday during the day. Any help will be appreciated. We want to make the most of our Cajun Experience.
I just talked to a friend whose frat had a social in Nola this week. Says they couldn't get in the bars that were open lastnight. So it's looking like there may be some street walking.
I did just hear that Robert 'Bobby' Boucher Jr. just gave away 6,000 tickets to underprivileged youth in the Forked Island area...we could fill up dat dome yet!
You need to peruse these postings; somebody already has done a great job of listing all the acitvities!
This is the shirt I received yesterday at the send off. It could have been UPC that was handing them out but I think they are very nice and they had a ton of them left. Im sure if enough people called they would give them out or possibly even sell them!
That is a really nice shirt. I want one!
See my game info center thread
BLACK HELMETS!?
AND they are long sleeve!
In the words of Newt Gingrich: "I'll bet you 10 dollars... not 10 thousand dollars..."
Below is the link to the university Bowl central website. It list the schedule, and includes links to lots of N.O. info.
